Gegründet: 1906 durch Heinrich Flötotto in Gütersloh. Herstellung von Möbeln.
In den 1970er Jahren entstand das Flötotto Profilsystem.

Ende 2007 erwarb „Elmar Flötotto Holding“ die Flötotto Marken „Flötotto“, „Authentics“ und „Sitting Bull“ „elmarflötotto“, „Lumibär“, „annaflötotto“ und Produktrechte.

2019 übernahm „Depot4Design“ die Rechte der Marke und Produktion der „Lumibär“ Leuchte von „Authentics“.
